The West Highland White Terrier, otherwise known as a ‘Westie,’ is a small and outgoing breed and makes an ideal pet as they have such a friendly nature. Popular also due to their small size, they are usually around 28cm.
The main health problem this breed encounters is skin problems/allergies. A good groom once or twice a year and a professional trim twice a year should keep them in good condition. They love exercise but will adapt to as much as you can give them, an hour per day should suffice providing you have a large garden.
